Zapier is a productivity tool that connects over 1,300 business apps, including Google, Slack, Salesforce, and of course Digiforma. Zapier helps automate repetitive tasks and routine processes, without the need for programming or technical resources. In other words, you don't have to be an expert 😉
Zapier works with an event-based automation system called Zaps. You can define the event and the actions that have to respond to it. For example, when we create a session in Digiforma, we can send the information recorded in it to an external service.
Note: Zapier's interface is only available in 🇬🇧 English. Their contact and support team is also super responsive 👌
After creating your Zapier account, you will find the following connection options:
1. Create a ZAP that goes from Digiforma to another software
Here we will indicate Digiforma as the source application, and then we will choose from which Trigger Event the Zap will be created:
a new company
a new teacher
a new financier
a new student
a new training session
a new training programme
You can then link the chosen event to an application available in Zapier, and programme an action, for example: Create a line in an existing Google Sheet after the creation of a new learner:
After activating the Zap, the link created between Digiforma and the application in question will be updated every 15 minutes. 👍
2. Creating a Zap from third-party software to Digiforma
Conversely, you can connect an event created from a third-party application (e.g. receipt of a response to a Google Form) to send the information to Digiforma. In this case, the following actions are available:
create a company
create a learner
create a learner in public pre-registration for a session (draft trainee)
create a learner in a training session
create a trainer
create a funding agency
create a training session
orcreate a programme
So much for simple connections!
Please Note: Each Digiforma Zap is prepared by our development teams. There is currently a limited number of Zaps that we will increase over time 😉
You can add filters, more complex conditions and create Zaps with more actions by creating a professional account with Zapier.
