Let's see how this virtual classroom tool works in Digiforma.

⚙️ How do I set up the sound and camera in the virtual classroom?

To find out how to access your class link, please see our 👉 article "Activity sheet: Virtual Classroom Webinars."

Once your students connect to the virtual classroom, they will access a login page where they can configure their camera and microphone.

You can also change the camera, microphone and background by clicking here
👇

On the page that appears, students can control their camera, microphone, audio device, avatar photo, and background settings.

How do I test the microphone and camera?

Before entering the virtual classroom you must visit this page, which will allow you to choose your microphone and camera as well as test them.

Here you can see the different elements you can test, and you can choose the device you want through the drop-down menu:

To test a device, click on the Record button:

Record yourself for a few seconds and play back the audio. To test the camera, perform the same action:

You can also test your internet connection:

Once you have completed the tests, you can join the virtual classroom by clicking the "Join the call" button.

📹 How do I record my virtual classroom?

💡 Only teachers can activate a screen recording; students do not have access to it. To add a teacher to a training session, navigate using the Settings > Trainers tabs within the session.

At Digiforma, you can record a webinar: This will allow you, for example, to send it to your students.

The teacher will have to click on the "record" icon located at the bottom of the screen:

Screen recording will be indicated by this icon at the bottom left of the screen:

At the end of the session, simply click the same button that you used to record to "Stop recording:"

The recorded file will then be available in the "Virtual Classroom Recordings" tab of the Learners' Portal:

To download the recording, press Play on the video you are interested in. On the page that appears, click on the 3 dots at the bottom right to download the video.

To make it available to your students, you can upload it to a Document activity using the video tool. If the file is too large, you can compress it.

This article about eLearning videos will guide you through the process 📖

⚠️ This feature is only available in the latest version of the Learners' Portal.

💻 How do I share my screen during class?

To share your screen during the virtual classroom session, click here in your virtual classroom:

Once you're sharing your screen, you can select which screen window you want to make visible.

⚠️ Screen sharing option is not available on mobile devices

↪️ How do I change the video conference view?

You can change the view by clicking here:

You can then choose between automatic sharing, active speaker display, or a grid format:

🧑 What's the difference between trainers and learners during webinars?

Everyone has the opportunity to speak and share their screen during webinars. The only difference between the trainer and the students is that the trainer can:

  • Activate a recording

  • Delete chat messages

💬 How the chat feature works

In the virtual classroom, you have a chat service that will allow your students to talk to each other during the webinar:

If you are a teacher, you can delete messages by clicking the X that appears next to the comment when you move your cursor over it:

You can open and close the chat by clicking on this icon:
